NSW; Bashed father says baby doing well, thanks police
JEREMY NUNES, whose baby daughter was badly injured when he was attacked while holdingher, has thanked police, the community and hospital staff.
Five-week-old ELIZABETH suffered a fractured skull when Mr NUNES was attacked as hewalked to their home in Maroubra, in Sydney's south-east, on Thursday night.
Detectives are questioning two men in relation to the attack and have seized a car.
Mr NUNES says his daughter is recovering well in Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick,and will probably come home this week.
He says he still thinks his suburb is a safe place to live.
